Timea Steingart

Timea Steingart is an emerging political science professional dedicated to fostering evidence-based solutions and effective policy development within transatlantic governance structures. A student at Chapman University pursuing a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Business Administration, she concurrently operates inside rigorous policy and research environments, bringing experience in advanced quantitative analysis and legislative affairs. Steingart served as a Parliamentary Policy Trainee at the European Parliament, where she architected complex analyses on the U.S.-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund and advised on EU budgetary procedures, resulting in policy clarification from the EU Commission and national media coverage. Her non-profit experience includes serving as a Junior Project Manager at the Pioneer Foundation, deploying corporate capital and establishing fact-verification protocols while directing “Fake News Workshops” to train students and professionals in media literacy and democratic engagement. Her current research involves developing a rigorous quantitative Reparative Public History model under the mentorship of Dr. Lisa Leitz, which investigates and restores the erased public memory of Japanese and Mexican immigrant women in the local citrus-packing industry, inspired by Gunter Demnig’s Stolpersteine project, and is designed to culminate in a permanent digital walking tour and narrative restoration for the university and the Chapman Hilbert Museum. This work builds upon previous research, including modeling US Presidential Elections data to disaggregate the incumbency effect using R-Studio, informing targeted 2024 political engagement models. Furthermore, her media work involved authoring high-level features for

POLITICO Magazine, and conducting high-level interviews, including a dialogue with former Bundestag President Wolfgang Schäuble. Steingart is committed to advancing systems-level improvements in democratic resilience and evidence-based governance through cross-sector approaches.
